What Is the Volume Average Study?

The Volume Average study plots volume and the Moving Average of volume.

The Volume Average can us either the SMA or EMA moving average type of the Volume series.

By averaging out volume activity of a security, the Volume Average allows you to see its general trends and volume patterns.

Volume Averages are an important tool used in volume analytics. These charts allow you to determine whether professional traders are currently buying or selling a security. With this, you can make more accurate predictions about the short-, mid-, and long-term trends of the security.
